# Sharing, business cards and caller ID

> Field features of the Advanced and Enterprise plans in the mobile app — add files and e-mails shared from the phone to a record, create a contact from a business card (text read on the phone, corrected by AI with verification) and see the CRM company and contact name on incoming calls.

These three features are available in the mobile app (3.5 and later) on the **Advanced** and **Enterprise** plans. On Essentials and Professional they are hidden; admins see a **Caller ID · Advanced and Enterprise plans** row and **Upgrade plan** in the Menu. [Plans](/guides/plans)

## Share from the phone {#share}

In Photos, Files, Mail, WhatsApp or the browser tap **Share → Solk**. Solk opens with the **Save to Solk** screen:

- **Shared** — files (up to 10, 15 MB each) and text / links.
- **Where** — Solk suggests a record: the company of an existing contact who sent the shared e-mail, the company owning the e-mail domain, or a company name in the text. For another record, **Choose another record** (company or opportunity).
- **Title** and **Note** — shared text goes into the note; you can edit it.

**Save** adds the note and files to the chosen record. The subject, sender, date and body of e-mail files (`.eml`) go into the note, and the file itself is kept as an attachment. The note ends with *shared from phone*; it appears under Notes and Files on the record.

| Phone | How it works |
|---|---|
| iPhone | **Solk** in the share sheet opens the app. If an app does not allow that, it says *Saved — choose the record when you open Solk*; the screen appears when you open Solk. If Solk is missing from the share sheet: Share → **More** at the end of the row → turn Solk on. |
| Android | **Solk** appears in the share sheet only when your workspace is on Advanced / Enterprise. The share comes to the open app. |

With several workspaces the share goes to the active one; if the active workspace is on Essentials / Professional, the app switches to a workspace where sharing is available.

## Contact from a business card {#card}

**+ New → Business card**, **Menu → Scan business card**, or **Business card? → Add contact** after sharing a single photo to Solk:

1. Take a photo of the card or pick one from Photos — lay the card flat and fill the frame.
2. **The text is read on the phone** (Apple Vision on iPhone, Google ML Kit on Android — no internet needed). Only the recognised text goes to the server, not the photo.
3. The server splits it into **name, title, department, company, mobile, other phone, e-mail, website, address, city**. Fax numbers are skipped. Names in capitals are cased by Turkish rules (*MEHMET YILMAZ* → *Mehmet Yılmaz*) and a company name with its legal form is joined (*Kuzey Plastik Ambalaj San. ve Tic. A.Ş.*).
4. Solk matches existing records: if the e-mail or phone belongs to a contact, **This contact already exists** (*Open contact* or *Complete missing details*); if the e-mail domain or company name belongs to a company, the contact is added there; similarly named companies are offered.
5. Check the form and **Save**. A new company is created when needed (owned by you, status prospect). The other phone goes into the contact's note; the card photo is added to the company's Files (turn off *Add the card photo to the company* to skip).

### AI {#card-ai}

When AI is available in your installation (through Solk on Advanced), the recognised **text** is corrected with a fast model: Turkish casing, letters dropped by OCR (*Ozturk* → *Öztürk*), name ↔ title ↔ company, department. So that nothing invented reaches the form, **every field is checked against the text on the card**:

- an e-mail, phone, website or city that is not on the card is dropped;
- a name, company, title or department unlike the words on the card (e.g. a *Holding* that is not there) is dropped;
- the rule-based value is kept for a dropped field.

Fields corrected by AI show ✦; the top of the screen says *Corrected with AI* or *Read on the phone*. Each card counts as one AI request. The image is not sent to the AI provider. [AI models](/guides/ai-models)

## Caller ID {#caller-id}

Turn on **Menu → Caller ID → On this phone** and the company and contact numbers you can see are loaded onto the phone; incoming calls show **Kuzey Plastik · Ali Veli**.

| Phone | Setup | On an incoming call |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone | Once: **Settings → Apps → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification → Solk** (the button on screen takes you there). | *Company · Contact* below the number; it stays in Recents. |
| Android 10+ | The system asks *Set Solk as your caller ID app?* — **Set as default**. Notifications must be allowed. | When a number **not in your contacts** calls, a silent Solk notification at the top: tap to open the company, **Call note** to log the call right away. Your phone already shows names from your contacts. |

- **Which numbers:** company and contact phones — only records you can see (your team's with team visibility). Former contacts (✗) are not loaded. A number shared by several contacts (a switchboard) shows the company only. Up to **20,000** numbers; above that your own companies first, then active customers.
- **Updates:** the list refreshes once a day (not downloaded again when unchanged); **Update now** refreshes immediately.
- **Several workspaces:** numbers from all of them are merged; on Android tapping the notification switches to that workspace first.
- **Privacy:** only the number and the name (company · contact) are stored on the phone. Incoming call details are not sent to Solk or anywhere else — matching happens on the phone. Turning it off or leaving the workspace deletes the list. Numbers are matched in international form (`0532 123 45 67` = `+90 532 123 45 67`).

### Admins {#caller-id-admin}

With **Settings → Security → Mobile: caller ID** off, users cannot fetch the list and phones delete it at the next sync (sharing and business cards stay on). Each day a user downloads the list is written to the audit log (*N numbers (mobile caller ID)*).

## In a new iPhone build {#ios-setup}

On iPhone, sharing and caller ID run as two **extensions** bundled with the app; the team publishing the app sets them up once (an App Group and two signing profiles). In a build without them the Menu says *Not available on this phone or in this version*; business card reading needs no extension.

## API {#api}
