# Today

> Start your day here — the AI box and suggestions, a strip for overdue and due-today work, meetings, mentions and weekly visits, meetings day by day with a side panel, and your tasks.

**Today** is your personal home page: it opens after sign-in and shows only what you need to run the day. Team and target figures stay on the **Dashboard**. The page has four parts, top to bottom: the AI box, the strip, Meetings and Tasks.

## Opening page {#home}

After sign-in and at the root address (`https://<company>.solk.app/`) everyone lands on **Today**. Anyone who prefers to start on the Dashboard picks *Dashboard* under **Settings → Appearance → Opening page** — the choice only applies to their own account. The Dashboard always stays in the menu and at `/dashboard`.

## AI box {#ask}

Type a question or give it a job in the box at the top of the page; the answer opens in the **Ask** panel on the right.

| What you type | What happens |
|---|---|
| *Create a task for me: call Kuzey Plastik tomorrow at 14:30* | A task card — title, date, time, type (*Call*), company and assignee are taken from the text. **Create** opens the task, **Edit** opens the task window prefilled. |
| *Prepare me for today's meeting* | The company's status, last conversation, open deals, open actions, recent emails and attendees; with AI on, talking points and questions to ask. |
| *Summarise my day* | Today's meetings, overdue and due-today work, and what to prioritise. |
| *Write a follow-up email to Kuzey Plastik after the quote* | An email draft card (with AI on); **Open in email** fills the compose window — you send it. |
| *Add this conversation to Kuzey Plastik as a note: …* | A note card (with AI on); **Save** writes the note to the company or deal. |

The AI **never creates a record on its own**: every task, note and email first arrives as a confirmation card and you approve it. With AI off the box works on rules — creating tasks, the day summary, meeting prep, overdue work and this week's visits still answer, and no data leaves your workspace. [Models and connection](/guides/ai-models)

The **suggestions** under the box change with the day: prepare for the next meeting, summarise my day, prioritise overdue work, who should I visit this week, create a task. Typing `/` opens [prompt templates](/guides/prompts); the microphone button (`Ctrl+D`) dictates. `Enter` sends, `Shift+Enter` adds a line.

## Strip {#strip}

Five figures, each linking to its list: **Overdue** (how many days the oldest is late), **Due today** (with the open total), **Meetings today** (the next one's time), **Mentions** (open comment threads that mention you) and **Visits this week** (with a bar against the weekly target). On phones the strip scrolls sideways.

## Meetings {#meetings}

Meetings from your calendar are listed day by day; use **‹ ›** for previous and next days and click the date to jump back to today. Each row shows:

- start and end time, a colour for the meeting type (online · in person) and the title; **Now** while it runs, **Soon** 15 minutes before;
- the company (with its logo), attendee initials and, for in-person meetings, the place;
- one button on the right depending on state: **Join** (online meeting about to start or running), **Log result** (a finished company meeting without a result → Quick Entry), the notetaker status (*Will record* / *Record* — [call recording](/guides/calls)) or the meeting link.

Without a connected calendar the list isn't left empty: **Connect Google account** / **Connect Microsoft account** connect your email and calendar, and invites arrive with their attendees and companies. Meetings without a company (internal) are visible only to you and attending users.

### Meeting panel {#meeting-panel}

Click a meeting and a panel opens on the right without leaving Today (from the bottom on phones). **Full page** opens the same layout on its own page.

| Section | Contents |
|---|---|
| Top | Type, recurrence, where the invite came from, title, day and time, place (directions). **Join meeting**, **Prepare for meeting** (AI), **Take a note**, **Show in calendar**. |
| Result | For a finished company meeting: **Log result** (Quick Entry, the meeting closes) or **No result needed**. |
| Preparation | Company, status and owner; last conversation (how long ago, note), open deals, open actions, recent emails, attendees from the company. **Have AI prepare talking points**. |
| Linked records | The first company is the meeting's company; **Link a record** adds a deal, contact or another company, × removes one. Links you edit are not changed by later invite updates. |
| Attendees | Organiser and invitees; response (accepted · maybe · declined · no reply), their company when they're a saved contact, users from your team. |
| Notes | Notes linked to this meeting; **Take a note** links the note to the meeting and the company (or deal). |
| Call recording | Notetaker rule (*My rule · Record · Don't record*), *Send the notetaker now*. |
| Description · type | The invite's description; for the owner, a meeting type correction (in person · online). |

The meeting's owner and admins can change links and type. `Esc` closes the panel.

## Tasks {#tasks}

Your overdue and due-today work in one list: tasks, follow-ups from conversations and trials, project steps and meetings waiting for a result. Click the circle to close an item; the company chip opens the company; **View all** opens Actions. Admins get a **Mine · Team** switch for the team's overdue and due-today work. When the list is empty, use **New task** — or type in the box above.

:::tip
The previous Today layout (attention items, reminders, record tabs) remains at `/bugun?klasik=1`. The mobile app's Today screen is unchanged.
