# Upload a profile photo

`POST /api/v1/profile/photo`

`multipart/form-data` field `photo` (or a raw body with `Content-Type: image/*`): JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 8 MB and 40 megapixels. The server fixes the EXIF orientation, crops a centred square and stores a 256 px JPEG. Response: `user` (`photo` = `/api/v1/users/{id}/photo?v=…`).
