# Archive / unarchive

`POST /api/v1/notes/{id}/archive`

Moves the note to the archive or back (v49). An archived note isn't deleted: it's hidden from lists, record cards and starred notes, listed with `?archived=1` and still opens by id (`archived: true`). Author or admin only; the note's 'last edited' date doesn't change. `/me` → `caps.note_archive`.
