# Delete a record

`DELETE /api/v1/objects/{key}/records/{id}`

Permanently deletes the record, its field values, relations and comments. To keep it recoverable, archive with `active: false` instead. Clients without `DELETE` can use `POST /api/v1/objects/{key}/records/{id}/delete`.
